HUAQING PALACE RESORT & SPA

Staying within the 华清池 palace property is such a privilege. Not only can you enjoy daylong access to the hot spring baths, but you also get unlimited entry to the park. I’ll definitely return to this hotel as my personal retreat, to immerse myself in the past and yet with the top-notch, truly exceptional services. Special thanks to Ms. 鈡’s hospitality making us feel like we’re at home. The staff at the restaurant is also very accommodating, especially for our food allergies. And the modern amenities are a plus. This hotel truly embodies the essence of a 5-star establishment.

Last minute booking for this hotel because my son wanted an outdoor hot spring experience and we are so happy to have found this place on trip.com. Great: 1. The check in was almost effortless, everything was already done at arrival and the hotel was flexible to change our room type since they cost the same. 2. Tip: the rooms with outdoor hot spring are located 5 minutes from the lobby (which houses rooms with indoor hot spring). Both are great. The outdoor hot spring rooms are closer to the actual public outdoor hot spring. 3. The package comes with access to the huaqing palace, breakfast, a photoshoot with 3 pics, some free experiences like cake making and free minibar and fruits. Very good deal. 4. They have a buggy service to bring us around. 5. There is a show (needs payment) every evening but we missed it due to a pre booked activity in Xi’an. 6. Nearer the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum and Terra-cotta warriors. 7. They even give us dessert every night in the room. 8. The bathrobe is soooo warm and comfortable. Not so great: 1. Far from Xi’an city so getting there requires time 2. Rooms can be small but cozy 3. Some smell from the toilet we had to endure for two nights (could be the dampness or the drainage) Already miss the place and would definitely return if next I am in Xi’an.

The location of the hotel at the site of the historic Huaqing Palace is incredible. The stay includes a Tang photography style photoshoot with a superb makeup artist and photographer from Jinghong Travel Photography. They’re so professional and the style of makeup is done akin to actual makeup during the Tang Dynasty so it’s very natural. I’ve done a couple traditional Chinese photoshoots and this has been by far my favorite, due to its location at the palace grounds and the amazing staff. The stay itself was wonderful - the staff leave red date soup or white woodear soup in your rooms in the evenings and turn on the private hot springs for you each night. They’re extremely friendly and accommodating - going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

The location of this hotel is very exclusive. Yet it is right next to the tourist attraction. The hot spring baths are wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. (Please do note that there is time limit for the private hot spring availability in the guest room. It only runs from evening till midnight.)

It is a resort located in HuaQing palace park. I like the resort's environment and the hot spring, very comfortable .Btw, the service of resort also is a attractive point for me, highly recommended, good hotel.
